Assignment #7

1) More african americans are imprisoned in 2001 & throughout the whole graph.

2)clarence

I chose Clarence Carnes because i liked how he came up with an idea to escape from prison.

3)

Stanley Tookie Williams III (December 29, 1953 – December 13, 2005) was the co-founder of the crips, a street gang which had its roots in south central LA  in 1969. In 1979 he was convicted of four murders committed in the course of robberies, sentenced to death, and eventually executed. In his later life, he had authored several books, including anti-gang and anti-violence literature and children’s books. He was unfairly accuse because no one knows for sure if he committed the crime or not, they probably accused him because he was in a gang. I selected Tookie because i think he is really a kind person and he took his time in prison to write books to let kids know that his life style wasn’t the life style to follow.

A) The use of technology is a good idea because I’ve seen the protests on youtube recorded from phones and they are not the business but using technology at the site can be useful to see how people and/or O.P.D reacts to things like protest. The police takes over their control of authority.

B) I didn’t think the reporter that was fired did anything wrong because maybe she was understanding the concept of the protest and felt that she wanted to support the 1%.

C) The media has been destructive toward the Occupy movement because no one understands the people that are in the movement, the media just think they are out of control, which they are but to a certain extend.
